The Time-Sert 5553 M14 x 1.25 Ford Triton spark plug thread repair kit is a specially made to fix damaged, stripped and/or missing threads in the Ford Triton engines. The Time-Sert 5553 thread repair kit will fix Ford heads with a straight section between the threads and the taper seat. The models include 1.9, 3.8, 4.6, 5.4 and 6.8 liter engines with 2 or 4 valve heads. The 5553 Ford Triton spark plug thread repair includes five (5) Time-Sert 51459 taper seat inserts.

This kit is NOT recommended for holes larger than 0.663" (16.8mm). For holes larger than 0.663" (16.8mm) and up to 0.73" (18.5mm) use the Time-Sert 5600 thread repair kit.

NOTE: The included Time-Sert 51459 is a partially threaded to bring the spark plug hole back to OEM specifications. Fully threaded spark plugs require different inserts in addition to this thread repair kit. The Time-Sert 51457 are fully threaded inserts which are 16.8mm long with a taper seat and requires the Time-Sert 51484A ring setting collar to be installed.
